Bashkir Medical University students and young doctors of Bashkortostan will be able to study at Vienna University

Bashkir State Medical University was visited by representatives of the University of Vienna for a master class, lectures, and acquaintance with the university. A member of the Medical Association of Vienna, the head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Eastern Social Medical Center and the Danube Hospital of the University of Vienna Beda Hartmann, head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Hospital of Burgenland (Austria), Professor of the Eastern Social and Medical Center and the Danube Hospital Alexander Albrecht, Doctor of the Eastern Social and Medical Center and the Danube Hospital of the University of Vienna Polina Litoshinskaya came to Ufa.

During the visit, a cooperation agreement was signed between Bashkir State Medical University and the University of Vienna. According to the press service of the university, it is planned to implement joint projects in the field of medical education, science, and public health, joint scientific and educational symposia, conferences and forums, an exchange program for students, interns, graduate students and doctors between universities.

“The University of Vienna is one of the leading universities in Europe. This year the Republic of Bashkortostan opens its representative office in Austria, and we, together with the Ministry of Health RB, hope for fruitful cooperation with the University of Vienna. To date, we already have experience of collaboration with the medical institutions of Austria: the Medical University of Graz, the Medical University of Paracelsus and the Mining University of Leoben, and we continue to cooperate with universities in China, Germany, Spain actively. Students of Bashkir State Medical University and already practicing doctors will be able to study at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vienna. It will allow them to adopt the experience and acquire the necessary theoretical and practical competencies that will be introduced into the health care system of the Republic of Bashkortostan,” commented on the rector of Bashkir State Medical University, RAS corresponding member Valentin Pavlov.
