320 thousand people took part in volunteer clean-ups in Bashkiria, 110 thousand cubes of garbage were collected

The Ministry of Housing and Utility Services of Bashkortostan has summed up the results of the first republican joint volunteer clean-ups.

As the adviser to the Minister of Housing and Utility Services Nikolai Elnikov told the Bashinform News Agency, about 320 thousand residents of the region, employees of 15 960 organizations participated in the first spring volunteer clean-ups.

In the cities and municipalities of the republic 846 catering stations were organized. More than 3 thousand units of equipment were involved in cleaning the territories. By joint efforts, the participants of the volunteer clean-ups collected about 110 thousand cubic meters of garbage.

According to the press service of the Ufa administration, more than 103 thousand citizens of all ages and generations cleaned the capital after the winter, among them schoolchildren, students, employees of enterprises, organizations and institutions, workers of the housing sector, city residents. More than 3,832 cubic meters of garbage were collected and transported to the landfill of municipal solid waste.

The next republican cleanup will take place in the region on April 27. In Ufa, urban volunteer clean-ups are also scheduled for April 13 and 20.

Last year, about 1.4 million residents of the republic took part in Bashkiria in clean-ups. Total, more than 38 thousand tons of municipal solid waste were collected.
