Hemodialysis patients will be transported to procedures for free in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, patients requiring hemodialysis should be transported from the place of residence to the place of the treatment at the expense of the local hospital, the Interim Minister of Health of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin reminded.

The corresponding order was published in February 2019, additional funds were allocated for the transportation of patients. Anyone who needs transportation should contact the hospital.

In the Bashkir city of Sibay, 41 patients come to hemodialysis. Seven “artificial kidney” devices are installed in the “Nephroline” hemodialysis center. They have been working in three shifts since October 2014. One procedure lasts four hours; patients with renal failure undergo it every two days.

To carry out the procedure, they are brought at the expense of funds and on the transport of the central city hospital.

According to the nephrologist of the “Nephroline” hemodialysis center, Rafkat Bikkulov, currently, the department conducts hemodialysis for residents of Sibay, Baymak, Zilairsky and Khaibullino districts. All procedures for patients are free of charge.
