Smart reception wards will appear in Bashkiria hospitals

Smart reception wards with local emergency rooms will appear in Ufa.

Such a center is already operating in the Ufa Hospital No. 21. Radiy Khabirov, the Acting Head of Bashkiria, examined its working principles during an offsite meeting in the “Healthcare Hour” format, which was held at the City Clinical Hospital No. 21 on April 4.

The area of such a center is conventionally divided into three zones: green, yellow and red. Patients who need resuscitation and surgery and their condition is serious, fall into the red zone. There is about 10 percent of such patients according to statistics. Patients in need of resuscitation are in the yellow zone — about 30 percent, in the green zone — about 60 percent of patients who can move independently, and there is no threat to their life.

"The organization of such centers will make it possible to quickly decide on the tactics of emergency patients treatment, to route them, improve the conditions in the emergency room and make medical assistance more accessible," the Interim Minister of Health Maxim Zabelin explained.

Two more centers are planned to open at the medical campus of the Emergency Hospital No. 22, and the third - in Chernikovka neighborhood.

According to Maxim Zabelin, such centers are created at large hospitals. The leaders are St. Petersburg and Moscow, similar centers also operate in Volgograd, Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny and Elista.

In Bashkiria, centers of lesser capacity are planned to be established at each inter-municipal medical institution.

The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, instructed to work out the issue of financing project surveys from the republican budget, as well as to contact the Russian Ministry of Health on this matter.
