This year, the Russians will rest on the May holidays from May 1 to May 5 and from May 9 to 12, Rostrud reminds (Federal Labor and Employment Service).
“The long May holidays are due to the transfer of the weekend days on January 5 and 6, as well as on February 23,” explained Ivan Shklovets, the deputy head of Rostrud.
Thus, in connection with the celebration of the Day of Spring and Labor, the Russians will rest this year for five days in a row - from May 1 to 5, inclusive.
A three-day working week and a long weekend are waiting for Russians on Victory Day. Working days will be 6, 7, 8 May, weekends - from 9 to 12 May, inclusive.
In addition, since April 30 and May 8 are pre-holiday days, their working hours are reduced by one hour.
