Head of Bashkiria: It is time to say “no” to homegrown bootleggers

The main thing lacks in the fight against bootleggers and illicit trafficking in alcohol-containing products, Radiy Khabirov, the Acting Head of Bashkiria, stated today on his social media. “Nothing works out until people themselves understand that is enough, and it's time to say to “no!” to the homegrown bootleggers”.

Radiy Khabirov was the initiator of gatherings of citizens in cities and villages on this issue. According to him, gatherings should be held "informally and efficiently".

In addition to the fight against bootleggers, the locals discuss other equally important and topical issues. Among them - ensuring the fire safety of the population, determining priority streets in settlements for their subsequent asphalting and other issues.

However, the main topic of the numerous citizens' gatherings now taking place in Bashkiria is the fight against the illicit trafficking of alcohol-containing products. Already held meetings have shown that people are tired of widespread drunkenness and moonshine. People are waiting and ready for changes.

The local gatherings in the Dyurtyuli district are planned to be held on a regular basis. The holding of the “spring” gathering of citizens, so far the last one, is scheduled for April 11. According to the results of the meetings that took place in the region, the Plan of measures for the implementation of tasks requiring urgent solution will be developed and approved with specific dates.

“Such gatherings are, first of all, are aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, family values, divorce, and social orphanhood prevention. We hope very much that with their help we will be able to change the minds of many people, ”concluded Ramil Vagapov, secretary of the Dyurtyuli district council.

Among the unresolved problems that should be resolved is the lack of shops in small villages in which consumer goods can be purchased, the “garbage reform” currently underway, and other equally important issues.
