Five women over 48 years old became mothers for first time in Bashkiria

Last year five residents of Bashkiria from 48 to 51 years for the first time experienced the joy of motherhood. Another five women from different regions of the republic gave birth to the second and subsequent children at the same age. This is reported by the Social Insurance Fund of Russia.

Besides, experts of the foundation noted that a baby with the highest weight was born in Ufa - 5.63 kg. And a baby from Sterlitamak was recognized as the tallest - 67 cm.

In 2018, within the framework of the “Birth Certificate” program, the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund paid out 462.3 million rubles to medical organizations in Bashkiria. The money was received by women's counseling centers for medical services during the period of pregnancy for women, maternity homes, children's clinics for monitoring babies in the first year of life.
