14 drones will monitor flooding period in Bashkiria

The 14 unmanned aerial vehicles are provided to monitor the flood situation in Bashkiria. In the case of an emergency, 659 temporary accommodation points are ready to receive 160 thousand people. The announcement in the area of ​​possible flooding will be organized using centralized systems, radio broadcasting nodes and television broadcasting, SMS-messaging. Marat Latypov, Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Bashkiria, told this at a meeting with the Chief Federal Inspector for Bashkiria Mikhail Zakomaldin.

“A group of forces and means of the Bashkir subsystem for preventing and eliminating emergency situations consisting of more than 12 thousand people and 3 thousand items of equipment is placed on alert for prompt and integrated response”, the chief rescuer noted.

According to the Bashkir Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, there will be no strong flood in the region this year. Maximum water levels are expected to be within and below normal.
