Consul of Germany visited USATU

The Consul General of Germany in Yekaterinburg Keil Stefan visited Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) on a working trip. He took part in the educational seminar "Cooperation Prospects in the Framework of the Russian-German Year of Scientific and Educational Partnerships 2018 - 2022". The seminar was dedicated to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The guest of honor and participants of the seminar was greeted by the rector Nikolai Krioni, who emphasized that the USATU could rightly be called an aerospace university. “Our scientists have made and are making a significant contribution to the exploration of near-Earth space, and the students are active participants in all republican events dedicated to astronautics and aviation,” he said.

The consul, in turn, congratulated those present on the anniversary of the republic and wished the students a bright future, noting that they were studying in a prestigious aviation and astronautics university: “It is space where peaceful cooperation is created between countries and peoples”. Also, Keil Stefan congratulated the Ufa hockey team Salavat Yulaev on reaching the Gagarin Cup semi-finals.

Plenary reports were delivered in German and English by prominent scholars and young university professors. The Dean of the Faculty of Informatics and Robotics, Professor Nafisa Yusupova spoke about joint programs with universities in Germany. Professor Ruslan Valiev informed about the research conducted at USATU in the field of innovative use of nanostructured materials. Senior researchers Vladimir Lyubopytov and Denis Gusakov made reports on the developments of the departments and prospects for cooperation with universities in Germany, in particular, with Munich Technical University.
