Ten thousand people will be involved in 2020 All-Russian Census in Bashkiria

Ten thousand people will be involved in the All-Russian Population Census 2020 in Bashkiria. This is by 5 thousand less than in the previous census in 2010. It was announced at a briefing session in the Government of the republic by the head of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency Akram Ganiev.

The reduction in the number of people involved in the census next year is due to digitalization; that is, in most cases, information will be transmitted electronically.

The census starts in October 2020 with the help of the census takers and the state services website. According to the forecasts of experts, by 2030 in Bashkortostan, a decrease in citizens of working age by 180 thousand people is expected, while under working age - by 100 thousand, an increase in older adults - by 145 thousand.

By January 1, 2019, out of 54 municipal districts of the republic, 12 have a population of less than 20 thousand people.
