Radiy Khabirov: Bashkortostan confidently enters next 100 years

One hundred years ago our region entered the history of Russia as the first republic that signed an agreement with the Russian Workers 'and Peasants' Government on the Soviet Autonomy of Bashkiria. The document was published in the newspaper "Izvestia" dated March 23, 1919. This date was celebrated in Soviet times as the day of the BASSR formation. These historical facts were given in his speech by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov at a solemn meeting devoted to the centenary anniversary of the republic.

“Today we express our gratitude to the outgoing century of Bashkortostan. And we are opening a new century, welcome the second century of Bashkortostan! We sincerely believe that it will become the “golden age” of the republic and our common home - Russia!”

According to Radiy Khabirov, today we should think about the future of the republic, about what Bashkortostan is facing in the next one hundred years.

“This will be dozens of high-tech and knowledge-intensive enterprises. The republic will be proud of its schools and universities, professors of Harvard and Yale will seek for vacancies at our universities. We will be proud of the high-tech medicine centers, where the best doctors will perform unique surgeries, and patients from Israel, Switzerland and other Western states will come to us for treatment, ”said Radiy Khabirov.

The head of the republic said that he and his team would do everything possible and impossible to make Bashkortostan even more prosperous.

"Of course, I allowed myself to dream a little. I think it should be done because the dream is an image of a future goal, a plan to achieve it. Dear colleagues, we have a unique honor to write the first pages of the second century of our republic. We are entering it standing tall, in good faith and with heavenly thoughts. Happy holiday, dear friends. Happy 100th anniversary, our native republic. Go for it, Bashkiria!"
