In the “Sterlitamak Arena” Sports Palace, Radiy Khabirov spoke with the leadership and players of the local volleyball club Tarkhan. The club Director Ilgam Zaripov told about the team’s achievements and asked the head of the region to solve the financing issues of the club.
“Our annual need is 53 million rubles. In 2017, we were allocated only 33 million rubles, the same situation repeated last year. Due to the arisen debt, 12 leading players left the team, which, of course, affected the game results, ”Ilgam Zaripov told Bashinform News Agency.
Radiy Khabirov assured the club management and players that the volleyball team would be supported and the funds would be allocated in the right amount.
The players of the club presented to the head of Bashkiria a flag of the team with autographs of the players, the children's reserve and the most active fans.
At the Sterlitamak Arena, Radiy Khabirov made a symbolic puck drop at the beginning of the game of the local hockey club Orlan players with their peers from the Ufa hockey school named after Azamatov.
The “Sterlitamak Arena” Sports Palace was commissioned on December 28, 2012. The total cost of the sports facility was 687 million rubles.
The ice arena has 2,500 spectator seats, an electronic scoreboard. The conditions have been created for TV broadcasting, the work of commentators, judges, and journalists. The facility complies with all requirements for all-Russian, international competitions and cultural events in hockey and figure skating. More than 600 children and teenagers are engaged in ice hockey in the palace, about 100 children go in for figure skating.
The palace director Valery Pashkov said that they needed a modern electronic scoreboard (cube) for the ice arena and a sports hall. According to him, a second ice rink is required to conduct training sessions in ice hockey and figure skating.
Radiy Khabirov noted that the city administration together with the palace authorities should determine priorities what works should be done first. After that, the final decisions will be made.
