Two hundred fifty children from the city of Sibay, whose residents since the end of last year have suffered from emissions of pollutants due to smoldering ore in an abandoned quarry, are accommodated at the “Mechta” Crimean sanatorium in Evpatoria. Twenty-nine adults, including experienced teachers and medical workers, accompany them.
The children stay in comfortable double rooms with an ensuite bathroom, a refrigerator and a TV. They have rehabilitation procedures: inhalations, ultrasound treatment of the respiratory organs, massage, laser therapy, swimming. Most of all, the Sibay guys liked the seawater pool.
“We were well welcomed. I like the building, the procedures, the herbal tea, ”the schoolgirl Valeria Yanbaeva shared.
The doctors from Sibay monitor the state of health of young vacationers because many of them suffer from chronic diseases of the respiratory tract organs. In addition to treatment, an extensive cultural and entertainment program has been prepared for the children. The guys go to the gym, try to stay outdoors more often - spring weather is in Evpatoria now. The distance to the sea is 500 meters, which is exactly the same as from their houses in Sibay to the quarry. Only now they breathe fresh sea air, the Sibay TV channel reports.
In Evpatoria, the children will spend two weeks, after which they will be replaced by another 250 Sibay residents, including senior pupils. They are to come to Crimea on March 10.
