Children from Sibay flew to Crimea for rehabilitation

Today children from Sibay, whose residents have been suffering from emissions of pollutants due to smoldering ore in an abandoned quarry since the end of last year, went to “Mechta” sanatorium in Evpatoria for treatment. The head of the city, Rustem Afzalov, announced this on his VKontakte page.

“250 children are accompanied by 29 adults, including experienced teachers and medical workers. The group flies from Magnitogorsk to Simferopol, and from there by bus to the health resort. In the “Mechta” sanatorium they will have rehabilitation procedures, five meals a day, a swimming pool, a gym, sports grounds, discos, contests, concerts, excursions to historical places of the Crimea, ”the mayor informed.

As reported earlier by the Bashinform News Agency, the second group of children - 250 people will depart to Crimea on March 10.

The decision to accommodate 500 children from Bashkiria for rehabilitation was made during the visit of the Crimean delegation to Ufa.

First of all, children residing in the territory adjacent to the sanitary protection zone and children in need of sanatorium treatment for medical reasons are sent to the sanatorium-resort treatment.
