Atmospheric air is constantly monitored for presence of harmful substances in Sibay

In the city of Sibay, the state of the atmosphere is continuously monitored for the presence of harmful substances in it by taking eight samples at six test points every two hours. It was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee RB for Emergency Situations Alexander Lopukhov.

“To stabilize the situation, the mine roadways are flooded under the quarry to localize the oxidation spots and stop the emission of sulfur dioxide and the gas pollution of the air atmosphere. In addition, two powerful fans are used in calm weather to disseminate the gas cloud over the city streets closest to the quarry, ” the official said.

In addition, applications from citizens are taken for making laboratory tests in various parts of the city. Any citizen can leave a request through the hotline (101). The results of all these measurements are posted on the official website of the city administration and the State Committee RB on Emergencies.
