Bashkiria residents began to marry foreigners more often

Six hundred twenty-one marriages were concluded in 2018 by residents of Bashkiria with citizens of the CIS. Most often, brides and grooms were citizens from the Republics of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Armenia, and a little less often from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Azerbaijan Republic, and Ukraine.

“The number of registered marriages with citizens of countries of the far abroad is increasing. In 2018 there were 202 of them. Here the wedding geography is much wider. The most common were marriages with citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Egypt, and Turkey. Marriages with citizens of Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Serbia, Iran, Yemen, Algeria, Poland, Norway, Canada, Mexico, USA, UK, Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Vietnam, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Morocco, Cote d'Ivoire were not rare already", the Republican State Committee for Justice informs.

In total, civil registry offices in Bashkortostan registered 25,388 marriage certificates last year. In Ufa, 8,718 couples were married.

Sterlitamak ranks first in the republic with 1863 marriages, Abzelilovo district is leading among the districts of the republic - 332 marriages.
