SMW is now picked up from settlements where garbage collection did not previously exist in Bashkortostan

In Bashkiria, solid municipal waste is now being taken out even from those settlements where garbage has never been collected before. For example, in the village of Ayuchevo, Sterlitamak district, until January 2019, no garbage was collected at all. As a rule, in the deep countryside, people disposed of the SMW by themselves - some of the waste was sent to compost heaps, some - to the furnace, the rest in bags was taken by someone to city dumpsters, others - to the nearest landfills. Thus, almost three thousand garbage dumps were formed all over the republic.

Since this year in this territory, the regional operator in the field of waste management "ECO-city" began operating. The “Spetsavtohozyaistvo Sterlitamak” subcontractor began collecting garbage from households in the territory of the Ayuchevskiy Village Council. Once a week, special vehicles visit every street of the village, picks up bags of garbage directly from the gates.

According to the head of the rural settlement Ilmir Syrbulatov, the method of collecting waste is only coming into use. Everyone knows and has become accustomed to the vehicle arriving at the appointed time and taking the garbage.

Over time, the villages will have to establish container yards. By order of the Acting Head RB, until the end of 2019, all settlements should be provided with container yeards.

There are about 60 such settlements in 18 districts of the region where waste disposal was not organized before. The garbage pickup schedule is defined individually with each settlement.

As the agency reported earlier, in order to minimize the proportion of garbage disposed of at landfills, the first in Bashkortostan Ecological Technical Park will be established at the Ishimbay waste sorting complex by the end of the year. Plastic will be processed, compost and RDF fuel will be produced from waste at the industrial site.
