2000 Bashkortostan residents visited regional ski resorts during winter holidays

During the New Year holidays, about 2 thousand residents of Bashkiria visited the popular ski resorts in the region. To get there, they used the “Legend of the Urals” suburban train of the Bashkortostan suburban passenger company.

The “Legend of the Urals” tourist train was launched at the end of November last year for winter sports enthusiasts from Ufa station to Novoabzakovo station, which is located closest to the tourist and recreational cluster “Mountain resorts of Bashkiria “Legend of the Urals”.

The suburban passenger company reminds that the train runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Departure from Ufa station is at 5.58 a.m. local time, arrival at Novoabzakovo station is at 11.38 a.m. Tickets for the suburban train can be purchased directly on the train, at the ticket offices and terminals of the Bashkortostan suburban passenger company, as well as using the mobile application “Prigorod”. On the way, there are stops at Dema, Urshak, Assy, Inzer, Aigir and Beloretsk stations. In the return way, the train will depart at 5.21 p.m. with the arrival in Ufa at 11.17 p.m.

Over the past winter season, from November to March, the Ural Legend trains transported about 10 thousand people. The train hit the Top 10 of the most significant events that occurred in the republic in the tourism sector, said Sergei Spatar, the press secretary of the Bashkortostan suburban passenger company.

As reported by Bashinform News Agency, in general, the tourist flow in Bashkortostan on New Year's holidays increased by 20% compared with last year. Over 10 days of the New Year holidays, more than 179 thousand people visited the holiday venues and active recreation centers.
