Ufa 1000 Musicians Day hit top 200 best events of year in Russia

The Ufa “1000 Musicians Day” hit the list of the best events of the year in Russia. The results of the competitive selection are published on the website of the national calendar of events.

The music flash mob - 1000 Musicians Day, organized by Business FM radio station and “Ogni Ufy” recreation center, took place for the second time in the summer of 2018 at the site behind the Ufa Congress Hall. Musicians with instruments (drummers with setups, bass and electric guitarists, vocalists) performed famous hits synchronously on one stage, which they had learned in advance from materials provided by the organizers.

In just two years, about 1,300 applications for participation from more than 40 cities - Kazan, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Magnitogorsk, Orenburg, Yekaterinburg, Minsk, Armavir, Kemerovo, Penza, Chebarkul, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhny Novgorod, Nizhny Tagil, Perm, Samara, Sarapul, Saratov, Usinsk were submitted. More than 20 thousand people visited the Day of 1000 Musicians in two years. More than 100 thousand viewers watched the online broadcast in 2018. At the moment, the 1000 Musicians Day is the largest music flashmob in the country by the number of musicians performing songs at one venue simultaneously.

In 2018, 2500 applications from 74 regions of Russia were submitted for the status of the “National Event of the Year”. The selection of the best events of the year took place in three stages. The first national events were determined on the basis of the national award in the field of event tourism. The second stage was the popular vote, which was held on the official website of the National Events Calendar EventsInRussia.com from December 6 to December 14. According to the voting results, 20 events that scored the most votes were recognized as the best. At the last stage, experts evaluated projects according to a number of criteria: originality, scale, sustainability, mass character, infrastructure development, media activity, seasonality.
