Bashkiria entered top 10 regions for tourists spending on accommodation during New Year holidays

The Russian booking service Tvil.ru has determined the regions of Russia, where tourists will spend on accommodation most of all during the New Year holidays-2019.

The rating is prepared according to the analysis of tourist spending on booking hotels, apartments and houses from December 28, 2018, to January 8, 2019.

The top ten Russian regions for total expenses of tourists (average check) for rental housing in the New Year holidays included Yaroslavl Region (47.3 thousand rubles), Moscow Region (42.8 thousand), Kaluga Region (37.5 thousand), Tverskaya Oblast (35.2 thousand), Leningrad Region (33.5 thousand), Kemerovo Region (32.2 thousand), Karelia (28.4 thousand), Vladimir Region (28.4 thousand), Bashkiria ( 27.1 thousand) and Karachay-Cherkessia (24.6 thousand).

According to Tvil.ru, tourists will spend most of all on renting accommodation during New Year's holidays in Central Russia: from 35.2 thousand rubles in the Tver region to 47.3 thousand in the Yaroslavl region for one booking. Moscow and St. Petersburg occupy the 16th and 18th places in total spending on accommodation per reservation.

On average, tourists rent housing for a New Year holiday in the regions of Russia for 3-4 nights. For the duration of the rest the ski resorts in Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Sochi lead, with one-week duration on average.
