Radiy Khabirov urged officials to present New Year's gifts to needy people, not to each other

Radiy Khabirov asked the heads of administrations of cities and regions, ministers and other leaders to abandon the unnecessary VIP-exchange of gifts and postcards before the New Year holidays.

Earlier, the Ministry of Finance of Bashkiria, in connection with the upcoming New Year holidays, reminded about the ban on giving and receiving gifts.

“According to article 17 of the Federal Law “On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation”, it is prohibited for a civil servant to receive remuneration from citizens and companies in connection with the performance of official duties, including not only gifts and money, but also loans, services, entertainment, recreation costs, transportation costs and other types of remuneration”, the press service of the financial department reports.

The Supreme Court of Bashkortostan also reminds residents of the republic of the statutory prohibition to present gifts to civil servants, and to officials to receive gifts in connection with the performance of labor duties.
