Head of Bashkiria commissioned to create Technopolis by end of 2019

To unite the efforts of universities with science and innovation sector of the economy, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov instructed the Government RB to complete creation of the Technopolis - a Republican House of Science and Technology, by the end of next year. He said this in his Address to the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The head of the republic focused attention on the outflow of young people from Bashkiria.

“More than a quarter of the graduates of our schools leave each year to enter universities in other regions. They are not satisfied with the insufficiency in our universities of the sought-after specialties, modern infrastructure for studying, pursuing science, creativity, comfortable living, employment prospects”, said Radiy Khabirov.

According to him, the universities of Bashkortostan should be at the level of advanced Russian universities, and the republic is ready to provide support in all areas.

“Now education, science, and technology are becoming the growth points of the regions, our country as a whole. Universities should jointly develop new educational programs with enterprises taking into account the needs of the regional economy. The role of universities in the technological breakthrough should be increased dramatically”, said Acting Head RB.

“We will also strengthen the support of talented young people - we will double the size of scholarships of the Head of the Republic to gifted students and graduate students”.
