Bashkortostan Labor Ministry specified days of New Year holidays for republican residents

The Republican Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection published the official holiday schedule for the New Year holidays. According to the Labor Code, January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 — New Year holidays, January 7 — Christmas Day — are non-working holidays. The day off from Saturday, December 29th is postponed to Monday, December 31.
“In 2019, non-working holidays on January 5 and 6 coincide with Saturday and Sunday. In accordance with the decision of the Russian Government, the day off from Saturday, January 5, was postponed to Thursday, May 2, from Sunday, January 6, to Friday, May 3”, the department informs.
Thus, the residents of Bashkiria will have a rest for 10 days in a row. Note that on December 29, the working day is reduced by one hour.
"On the basis of Article 120 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, when granting annual basic or annual additional paid leave, non-working holidays 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 January are not included in the calendar days of leave," the ministry explains.
