Radiy Khabirov urged heads of administrations to assist graduates of medical colleges

UFA, 3 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On Monday, December 3, Radiy Khabirov during a regular meeting at the Government RB urged the heads of district administrations to pay attention to the students and graduates of medical colleges and support them.
Radiy Khabirov instructed to submit this issue for consideration of the weekly “Healthcare Hour”.
Speaking in general about solving human resources problems in the health care, the Deputy Minister Yulia Kofanova reported that the medical organizations of the republic together with the heads of districts had approved roadmaps for the gradual elimination of personnel shortages.
“Annual commitments were undertaken to attract doctors to medical organizations until 2021, providing for various measures of social support. These are relocation allowances at employment, additional allowances, participation in the “Zemsky Doctor” program, solving housing problems in the form of allocating apartments, providing employer-rented housing or social renting, allocating land plots for individual construction”, explained Yulia Kofanova.
Currently, about four thousand students from rural areas study at the medical university, of which 1500 people will be employed in central district and city hospitals over the next three years, the Deputy Minister of Health cited the data.
Over the past month, 35 doctors have been employed in municipal districts, six of them after graduating from Bashkir State Medical University.
As part of the Zemsky Doctor program, 111 contracts were concluded (100 doctors and 11 medical assistants) with complete payments made under them.
This year, 50 doctors were not included in this program. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan instructed to allocate 50 million rubles from the republican budget for the implementation of lump-sum payments.
To address the shortage of specialists in primary care, 38 resident physicians, who have undergone the primary accreditation procedure, have been sent to rural areas. They will work as district therapists and pediatricians.
As Valentin Pavlov, the Rector of Bashkir State Medical University stressed, currently there were 1,600 resident physicians at the university, and most of them were employer-sponsored students.
“They have the right to work in primary care. This personnel reserve can defuse the problem”, Valentin Pavlov expressed his point of view.
