Beaver’s dinner in “Bashkiria” National Park was caught on video

UFA, 27 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. A beaver’s dinner in “Bashkiria” National Park was recorded by a camera trap. The semi-aquatic mammal treated itself to the bark of the tree, gnawing it with sharp teeth.

The department of environmental education of the "Bashkiria" National Park told the Bashinform News Agency that the number of these rodents was high in the territory.

“There are more than 15 beaver settlements. Beavers usually live in families of 2-4 animals, rarely alone”, the park's representatives specified.

Beavers are predominantly nocturnal, they eat bark and shoots of trees (willow, poplar, aspen).
