Bashkiria is in third ten of national sobriety rating of regions

According to the results of a large-scale study, Bashkiria took the 32nd place in the national sobriety rating of the subjects of the Russian Federation in 2018. The Muslim republics, such as Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan have traditionally become the leaders of the rating. Experts named the Nenets Autonomous District, the Magadan Region and the Chukotka Autonomous District the most drinking regions among the 85 entities, which data were used in the rating.

The “Sobriety Rating of the Regions-2018” was prepared in order to provide the society, state authorities and local governments with an independent and true picture of the level of alcoholic beverage consumption and its consequences.

This study is a targeted scientific and practical monitoring of the anti-alcohol campaign conducted by each of the 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which identifies and compares the negative consequences of the illegal circulation of alcoholic beverages and excessive drinking.

The expert and analytical study was carried out by the “Sober Russia” project together with the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. In addition to analyzing statistical data, the team of the “Sober Russia” federal project together with journalists from the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company visited more than 40 regions of Russia, which gave additional confirmation of the figures and statistics provided in the report.

The initiative of the annual "Sobriety Rating of the Regions" was supported by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in August 2018.
