Warm spell and snowing are expected next week in Bashkortostan

UFA, 16 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. It will get warmer in the coming weekend in Bashkortostan with snow falling the next week.

According to the republican Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring Office, in the coming days, the anticyclone will retreat to the south of Russia. The frosty weather will be replaced by a warm spell, the background nighttime temperatures will rise to -4, -9 C due to the inflow of clouds, and will remain in the range -4, + 2 C during the day. Isolated snow showers are expected. Snow cover will appear in the districts, but its height will be small. More intense precipitation is expected in the republic in the second half of next week.

So far, snow has not yet blanketed most part of Bashkortostan. A small snow cover is observed in the eastern and some southern regions. Lack of snow cover, low air temperatures can lead to freezing of fruit crops, winter crops, Hydrometeorology Office warns.
