It was attempted to sell more than 2,700 kg of defective vegetables in Bashkiria

UFA, 14 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Bashkiria, it was attempted to sell 96 lots of defective vegetable products. The total mass of the goods amounted to 2754 kg. The products were withdrawn from sale, the press service of the Rospotrebnadzor for the Republic of Bashkortostan informs.

According to the agency, since the beginning of the current year, 930 inspections have been carried out at companies engaged in the turnover of vegetable products, of which 70.8% have been made with laboratory control. More than 1050 tests of vegetable were conducted on the content of nitrates and 585 - on the content of pesticides. It turned out that 13 samples (1.2%) did not meet the requirements, they contained nitrates.

In respect of the liable persons, 49 orders were issued on imposing fines totaling 299 thousand rubles.
