UFA, 13 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Burzyan district court decided to impose an administrative fine on a Moscow archaeologist for illegal excavations in the Kapova Cave. He will have to pay 15 thousand rubles, the press service of the Supreme Court RB said.
In July of the current year, the South Ural Archeological Expedition MSU led by Vladislav Zhitenev worked in the reserve. On October 3, during an unscheduled inspection, employees of Bashkultnaslediye discovered an excavation site covered with polyethylene in the “Dome Hall” of the cave. However, the works in this place were not coordinated with the authorities, so that was a violation of the land use within the boundaries of the protected area of the object.
