Radiy Khabirov: issue of our residents’ safety will be of paramount importance

“The residents are primarily concerned with public safety”, said Radiy Khabirov at a meeting in the administration of Ufa. “Let's light up the city, slowly liquidate all the dark areas. But before that, you should start with public places, crowded areas. Light up all the approaches to schools, kindergartens, social institutions, so that children can walk quietly and be safe there”.

The head of the republic emphasized that “the order starts with details - with a correctly set road sign, timely cleaned waste bins, wiped off graffiti”.

“Together we will adopt a comprehensive program with elements of the Safe City system.” We have a range of cameras installed in the city. And who monitors, tracks the information received from them? Everything must be in control. A round-the-clock service should operate. Are all Ufa schools equipped with a video surveillance system? Outdoor surveillance is available and it is already good. It is clear that it is more difficult to do it in rural areas, somewhere it is impossible at all, but it should be done in Ufa. And what about preschool institutions? Only partially? This issue should be addressed too. By the way, this is not my requirement, but it’s a federal anti-terroristic requirement. The issue of our residents' safety will be of paramount importance”, said Radiy Khabirov.
