Positive tendency in reducing mortality is observed in Bashkiria

Bashkiria is named among the 16 regions in which the positive effect of the measures taken to reduce mortality is observed. The data on the demographic situation in January-September were announced on November 6, during a video conference with the subjects of the Russian Federation, which was held by the Minister of Health of Russia Veronika Skvortsova.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, in the first 9 months of this year, the country has seen an increase in mortality from cardiovascular diseases by 1%, from neoplasms by 1.9%, and diseases of the digestive system by 2.5%. There is a tendency in reducing mortality from respiratory diseases - by 1.6%, tuberculosis - by 10.9%, external causes - by 3.7%.

The head of the ministry noted that the primary health care on the prevention and detection of diseases in the early stages should be intensified. She also stressed that to reduce mortality rates was not enough just to take departmental health measures. It is necessary to organize work with the public, the media, with all authorities. Regions are offered to involve volunteer movement in their work, to use more actively visiting forms of work.

The main causes of mortality in the republic are diseases of the circulatory organs, neoplasms and external causes.
