The average air temperature in the country exceeded the previous record achievement of October 1967. It was also the warmest October in history in the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts separately.

An average monthly air temperature was above the norm in any part of the country. In the European territory - by 2-3 degrees, in Siberia - by 3-8 degrees, in the Far East - by 3-6 degrees. In the Arctic, in the north of the Kara Sea, the anomaly of the average monthly temperature was more than 10 degrees. Everywhere from the northwest border to the Pacific Ocean, new air temperature peaks were repeatedly established.

In Ufa, on October 26, the absolute maximum air temperature was exceeded, it was +17.3 degrees. The previous maximum air temperature of 13 degrees was observed on the same day exactly 70 years ago, in 1948.
