Information about Bashkirs will be integrated on one website by 100th anniversary of our republic

Materials covering the life and activities of the Bashkir people will be collected on one website, which will be opened by the 100th anniversary of the republic’s formation. This was stated by Boris Melkoedov at a roundtable "Bashkirs in the Regions of Russia: Culture and Traditions in Modern Realities".

The head of the Press and Media Agency urged the chairmen of regional organizations to designate their representative and participate in the creation of the integrated network community.

The 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan’s formation will be celebrated in those regions of Russia where Bashkirs live compactly. This decision was made at the end of the roundtable. According to the executive committee of the World Kurultai of Bashkirs, an action plan is being developed.

The leaders of the kurultai of the Bashkirs in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Orenburg, Samara regions, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District, the Perm Territory, and Moscow offered to resume the interregional cooperation agreements for more effective cooperation. For example, the agreement of Bashkortostan with the government of the Khanty-Mansi District has not been updated since 1998.

The participants of the event made a number of suggestions and requests. A Bashkir gymnasium should be opened to preserve the Bashkir culture and language in the Bardymsky district of the Perm region. In the Kurgan region, assistance is needed in the acquisition of national costumes, in maintaining the exhibits of the Aznaly ethnographic museum in proper condition. Guzel Voloshina, the chairman of the Bashkir kurultai "Kurai" of the Chelyabinsk region, noted that their organization had united 35 district kurultais, but did not find support from the Representative Office of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Chelyabinsk region.

The Minister of Culture RB Amina Shafikova called compatriots for active participation in the competition of grants from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan to support projects aimed at preserving and developing the state languages of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the languages of the peoples of Bashkortostan.
