Bashkiria submitted application for creation aircraft and engine-building scientific center

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia received a joint application for the creation of a Research and Education Center (REC) for aircraft and engine-building from three regions of the Volga Federal District - Samara, Bashkiria, and the Perm Territory. It is reported by TASS with reference to the speech of the First Deputy Head of the Ministry Grigory Trubnikov at the conference “Leaders of Science”.

According to him, the ministry is now considering some interesting applications from several regions. The REC is being created within the framework of the national project "Science", which was commissioned to develop by the President of Russia in his May decree.

“We now have a number of interesting applications. For example, there is an application from three regions - Samara, Bashkiria, and the Perm Territory. They would like to create RECs in the aircraft and engine building area and related technologies”, said Trubnikov.

He added that the ministry also had received applications from the Far East, a joint application from the Tyumen region, the Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Districts. Novosibirsk proposes to create several scientific and educational centers on some breakthrough technologies.
