Strong wind, snowing and ice-slick: Emergency Situations Ministry of Bashkiria warns of bad weather conditions

The Main Administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Bashkortostan, referring to the data of the Regional Administration for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, reports that on November 2, winds of up to 15-20 m/s are expected in the republic, light snowing, turning into rain during the day, slight glaze. The air temperature at night will be -2, + 3 degrees, in the east to -8, in the daytime 0, + 5.

Rescuers recommend drivers to be extremely attentive, to remember about the distance observance and a safe speed limit.

In case of strong wind gusts, it is recommended to check the condition of the electrical networks and equipment, heating furnaces in residential buildings; to ensure the operability of internal and external fire-fighting water supply, telephone communication, prepare fire-fighting equipment;

It is hazardous to stand under the power line and approach broken wires. Do not allow unaccompanied children to go outside. Elderly and sick people are advised to refrain from walking. If you find a power line breakage or power, gas, water, and heat supply interruptions, please call the emergency number of rescuers and firefighters, 01 from a landline, 101 from a mobile phone, the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry for RB recommends.
