UFA, 1 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Galina Bakhshieva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. November 4 – a National Unity Day - is a non-working holiday, the Ministry of Labor of Bashkiria reminds.

This year, the National Unity Day coincides with the weekly day of rest - Sunday. Accordingly, the day off from Sunday, November 4th is transferred to Monday, November 5th.

On Friday, November 2, the working hours are not reduced, as it is not a pre-holiday day.

According to the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, when granting annual basic or annual additional paid leave, the non-working holiday of November 4 – the National Unity Day - is not included in the calendar days of leave.

For the first time, the National Unity Day was celebrated in 2005. The holiday is considered among the Days of Military Glory of Russia and is timed to the victory of the national militia over the Polish invaders in 1612.
