Bashkortostan Statistics Agency: more than 40 thousand people left Bashkiria for 9 months of 2018

According to Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, in the first nine months of this year, 41.1 thousand people left Bashkortostan, and 36.2 thousand changed their previous place of residence having moved to our republic. Over 70 thousand people migrated within the republic. According to the results of January-September 2018, the total migration decline in the population in Bashkortostan was 4889 people (in January-September last year there was a migration increase of 221 people).

In the total volume of movements, permanent migration amounts to 47.6%, the share of persons registered at the place of stay for nine months or more is 52.4%. Migration growth is observed in 19 districts and in the cities of Neftekamsk, Oktyabrsky and Sibay.

Research data shows that about 80% of the migrants are people of working age. Young people aged 25-29 are leaving the republic most actively. And women depart more actively than men, especially at the age of 30 years. Among 15-34-year-olds, the number of women who left has exceeded the number of men by about a thousand in each age group. After 35 years the migration activity is sharply reduced. Most often, in search of work, residents of the republic move to the Tyumen Region and the Krasnodar Territory, for education they go to Moscow and St. Petersburg. There was also an outflow to the neighboring regions - Tatarstan and the Chelyabinsk region.
