Canadian cultural center "Miras" presented Bashkiria tourism potential

UFA, 30 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The Tatar Cultural Center “Miras” presented Bashkortostan and Tatarstan at the annual international exhibition of tourist products in Montreal.

The International Exhibition of Tourism and Travel (Salon Internationale de Tourisme et Voyages) was held there. Over three days of work, more than 400 representatives of various branches of the tourist business took part in it presenting their proposals and projects to 36 thousand visitors.

The Miras Center, which is a part of the Société de Patrimoine et Expression du Quebec, presented not only the culture of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan but also showed a tourist potential of the regions.

The “Miras” members showed a 20-minute cultural program, performed Tatar and Bashkir songs and dances.

In addition, for several hours, the Miras booth worked where visitors could get acquainted with new destinations, find them on the map, ask lots of questions, get the promotional material, and also try chuck-chuck (national dessert).

The dances staged by Alsou Ulmasheva were performed by Adel Usmanova, Alsou Ulmasheva, Zilya Mirgaliyeva, and Elina Musina.

The Bashkir culture has traditionally been represented by Ottawa residents Ruslan Suleymanov and Murat Kuchum. They completed the performance of “Miras” with the sounds of kurai (national music instrument), soulful vocals and drum rhythms.
