Cold snap, sleet and ice-slick are expected in Bashkiria

UFA, 26 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Bashkortostan, this weekend, the warm weather will be replaced by a cold snap under the influence of Arctic cold air masses, Bashkir Met Office reports.

The air temperature will drop at night to -5, + 3 C, in the daytime to + 1, + 7 C.

The most intense precipitation in the form of rain and snow is expected on Sunday, October 28. A cyclone will approach the territory of the republic. In some northern areas, snow deposits and slush build-up on wires and trees are possible. The south-western wind gusts will reach 17-22 m/s.

Rainy night and morning are expected on Monday, October 29. In most areas, rains turning into wet snow are expected. In some places slush build-up on wires and trees, ice-slick on some parts of the roads, the establishment of temporary snow cover are forecast. During the day, the precipitation will decrease.

Late October in the region is expected to be cold, forecasters predict. On October 30 and 31, the air temperature will drop dramatically. At night it will be up to -4, -9 C, dropping to -14 C during the bright periods, in the daytime to 0, -5 C.
