Call buttons were installed in Ufa Oncology Center as in “Doctor House” film

For the first time in the field of Ufa healthcare a ward alarm system was installed in the Republican Clinical Oncology Center: now patients of the gynecological department no longer need to walk down the corridor to call the nurse, and the nurses themselves – do not need to run around in search of a doctor.

As the doctors of the oncology center explained, even the droppers are connected to the alarm system, and as soon as they finish delivering the medicine, the nurse receives a notification and comes to the ward to the patient.

The access and movement control system monitors the movement of patients. Doctors believe that the new system increases the efficiency of the staff itself, automatically fixing the time of its response to the patient's call and sending the report to the duty doctor.

The main innovative solution in the alarm system is a manual device for calling medical personnel with a magnetic connector, so the patient himself can control the lighting, roller blinds, air conditioning, and other devices without getting out of bed.

The Ministry of Health RB noted that the ward alarm has antibacterial protection using silver ions.

This innovation appeared in the clinic due to the private charity gift of an Ufa resident. The cost of the kit is about one million rubles.

The situation with cancer patients is under special control of the acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov. At a briefing session in the Government RB, the leader of the region noted that the republic was in the third place in Russia in mortality among cancer patients with an increase of 6%. He drew attention to the delay in the construction of a new building of the Republican Oncology Center and demanded to deal with this issue.
