Surgeons performed robot-assisted arterial bypass surgery in Ufa

UFA, 16 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Rozaliya Valeeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. In Ufa, vascular surgeons have mastered ileo-femoral shunting by means of a da Vinci robot. The surgery was performed by a vascular surgeon Marat Kashaev in the center of the robot-assisted surgery of the Clinic of Bashkir State Medical University in early October.

The Center for Robotic Surgery was opened in Ufa in early 2018, and more than 100 operations were performed there.

Previously, vascular surgeons performed several complex surgical interventions. Assistance in mastering the operation technique was provided by experienced vascular surgery specialists of the National Medical Research Center - Alexey Arkhipov and Pavel Ignatenko.

Now, using all the achievements and experience in combination with high-tech equipment, the specialists of the robot-assisted surgery center of the Bashkir State Medical University Clinic successfully perform vascular operations assisted by the da Vinci robot.
