Consul General of Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited Ufa Petroleum Technological University

UFA, 16 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On October 16, Ngo Phuong Nghi, Consul General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg, and Assistant General Consul Xenia Vasilenko visited the university.

Welcoming the guests, the rector of the Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU) Ramil Bakhtizin stressed that the university had long-standing and strong ties with Vietnam. Ufa Petroleum University has been training personnel for the JV Vietsovpetro company for many years and carries out research and development together with its Vietnamese colleagues.

“Vietnam is one of the main strategic partners for our university. Currently, sixty eight Vietnamese students study here. Last year, with an active participation of our university, the Bashkir-Vietnamese Friendship Society was created”, he said.

Ngo Phuong Nghi thanked the staff of the university for the high-quality training of specialists and attentive attitude to the Vietnamese students. He made a proposal to increase the number of students from Vietnam at the university.

During the negotiations, the work of the Bashkir-Vietnamese Friendship Society was discussed, which activities were reported by the General Director of USPTU LLC Small Innovative Enterprise “Consortium “Oil and Gas Center” Ildar Yulbarisov. Prospects for not only economic cooperation, but also cultural and tourist exchanges were outlined.

In conclusion of the visit, the rector of the USPTU Ramil Bakhtizin and the consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg Ngo Phuong Nghi exchanged gifts.
