Ufa Airport served more than 2.49 million passengers year to date
UFA, 15 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Ksenia Kalinina/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Since the beginning of 2018, the Ufa International Airport has served more than 2.49 million people. According to the press service of the Ufa air hub, the increase in passenger traffic amounted to 17% compared to the same period last year. This is ahead of the industry average in Russia by 8.5%. The number of sorties increased by more than 9%.
The international passenger traffic increased by 30%, mainly due to destinations such as Antalya, Dubai, Phuket, Dalaman, and Istanbul, as well as new overseas flights to Batumi, Pardubice, Enfida and the resumed flight to Sharjah.
The passenger traffic on domestic airlines increased by 13% compared with the results of 9 months last year. Here flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Anapa, and Surgut showed a positive trend. During this year, the Ufa airport also opened direct flights to Krasnodar, Nizhny Novgorod, Nadym, Rostov-on-Don and Salekhard.
“In 2017, the passenger traffic of the Ufa air harbor reached a historic maximum of 2.81 million people. The plans are to break our own record and serve a three millionth passenger this year”, the Ufa Airport representatives inform.
