Unemployment rate is lowest in Bashkortostan for last 25 years - Rustem Khamitov

The Head of the Region Rustem Khamitov stated this at the first meeting of the State Assembly - the Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Sixth Convocation.

“In recent years, our macroeconomic indicators have been consistently higher than the national average. Bashkortostan is one of the ten leading regions that form more than half of the country's total GRP, is among three most effective subjects in terms of tax policy,” Rustem Khamitov said.

The head of the republic named the main indicators that the region had reached recently.

"Significant results have been reached in terms of increasing the incomes of the population. Over the last years, the average salary growth rate in the republic is ahead of the average Russian indicators. The shadow employment decreases. This year, we have the lowest unemployment rate in the last 25 years", the Head of Bashkortostan emphasized. "The republic is consistently among the leaders in the country and the Volga Federal District in terms of housing construction. Significant funds are invested in the resettlement of people from the dilapidated housing. The landscaping of yards, streets, parks, squares in cities and villages is actively going on. Over the past few years, accomplished recreational facilities have been established. Tens of billions of rubles were spent on construction and repair of roads. "

Rustem Khamitov recapped that schools, pre-school institutions, hospitals, paramedical and obstetric centers, cultural centers, rural clubs, sports grounds, children's art schools were actively being built in the republic. In general, the problem with kindergartens is addressed; the issue with nurseries is being solved.

"Quite important steps have been taken to improve the demographic situation, including by solving the housing problems of young families," the head of the region said. "The republic has achieved serious progress in the development of medicine, increasing the availability of high-tech care, providing clinics with the latest equipment, computerization, medical personnel, reducing the mortality rate".
