Academy of Sciences of Jiangxi Province and USPTU discussed ways of further cooperation

UFA, 26 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. On September 25, a delegation of the Academy of Sciences of Jiangxi Province headed by the president of the Academy Xiong Shaoyuan visited Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.

A tour of the university campus was arranged for the guests. Scientists from China, accompanied by university leaders, visited the Youth Technopark of USPTU, visited the branded exposition of PJSOC Rosneft and its subsidiary PJSOC Bashneft, the brand zone of PJSC LUKOIL and the registered laboratory of PJSC Ufaorgsintez.

"We are glad to welcome you to our university. USPTU has been training specialists for the People's Republic of China for more than 30 years. Currently, 60 students from China study at the university. I hope that today's meeting will strengthen the relationship between Ufa State Petroleum Technological University and the People's Republic of China", said Vice-Rector for External Relations Marat Khusainov.

The prospects for cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Jiangxi Province and USPTU were discussed during the roundtable discussions. Scientists and students of the Ufa higher educational institution work together with five oil universities of China, participate in academic exchanges and scientific conferences.

In his response, Xiong Shaoyuan marked a significant role of USPTU as a technical university in the training of highly qualified personnel for China, stressing that currently the most favorable climate has been created between our countries for the development of the partnership between universities of Russia and China.

The meeting ended with the exchange of memorable gifts, each guest was awarded a disk with a film about Ufa State Petroleum Technological University in Chinese.
