Plastic and alternative fuel will be produced from waste in eco-technopark in Bashkortostan

UFA, 17 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Gulfiya Akulova/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. The first eco-technical park will produce plastic and alternative fuel from the waste in Bashkiria. The site for deep solid municipal waste processing will be opened at "Eco-City" - a regional operator for waste management of the third service area. It covers the territory of the cities of Kumertau, Salavat, Sterlitamak, and districts: Ishimbay, Sterlibashevo, Sterlitamak, Meleuz, Kugarchi, Kuyurgazy, Miyaki, Abzelilovo, Aurgazy, Baimak, Beloretsk, Burzyan, Gafuri, Zianchurino, Zilair, Uchaly, Fedorovka, Khaibullino.

The agreement on the creation of the eco-technical park was signed at an on-site meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanovt in the city of Ishimbay. The regional operator "ECO-City" and the Ufa State Oil Technological University agreed on the development of innovative projects in the sphere of waste management in the territory of the cluster.

Thus, deep processing of waste will be organized at the sorting plant in Ishimbay. In particular, compost will be produced from organic waste (food and vegetable debris). Of the remaining waste, it will be possible to produce RDF fuel. To this end, the company is currently working on the construction of a special plant. Also, the companies of the "ECO-City" will be the first in Bashkiria to start processing of plastic.

According to Natalya Logunova, the Deputy Minister of Ecology RB, today the secondary material resources are partly recycled outside the region - in the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, Udmurtia and Tatarstan. The construction of factories in the territory of the republic is a necessity.

27 transport companies for the transportation of waste operate in the No. 3 area of activity today. Since 2014, the company has put into operation a waste treatment and disposal plant and a complex for their processing and burial, which allow processing 200,000 tons of waste per year.
