"All Ufa" TV channel launches digital broadcasting

UFA, 17 September 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. «All Ufa» television company is installing new digital equipment, which makes it possible to broadcast in high definition format.

Digital cameras are already installed in the studio, digital equipment is being installed now, employees are going through training, the working procedure will be completely modernized, the All Ufa TV reports.

The program for transferring on-air television to digital technology began in 2009. Today, 4075 facilities of the first multiplex and 2612 of the second multiplex are built. The first multiplex covers 91.55% of the country's population, the second - 63.62%. 83 centers for the multiplexes formation for the organization of regional broadcasting were constructed. In May 2018, experts of the All-Russian People's Front developed and submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation a draft law that assigned the 22nd channel for municipal channels. Municipal TV channels should allocate at least 50% of the airtime in their news programs to cover local news. At the same time, the share of information, awareness-raising, and information-analytical programs will constitute at least 15% of broadcasting.
