Five Bashkiria universities are included in European Scientific and Industrial Chamber ARES-2018 ranking

Five higher educational institutions of Bashkortostan entered the ARES-2018 (Academic Ranking of World Universities-European Standard), compiled annually by the European Scientific and Industrial Chamber. Of these, three republican universities are included in the Top 100 universities of the country. The leader is Bashkir State University. It improved its position compared to last year: Bashkir State University is in the 53rd place, it was given the BBB rating (80th place in 2017); Ufa State Petroleum Technological University took the 58th position, BBB rating; Bashkir State Pedagogical University - 81st position, rating ВВ. Then Bashkir State Medical University goes with the 105th position, the BB rating; Ufa State Aviation Technical University - 154th position, CCC rating.

The three leaders are quite predictable: Lomonosov Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University.

The purpose of ranking universities is to assess the ability of universities to provide students with the necessary knowledge, to participate in research activities, as well as an opportunity to actively communicate with future employers. It is noted that the rating is processed automatically, completely eliminating the involvement of the human factor.

The ranking is divided into the following categories:

1. Category A (AAA, AA +, AA, A +, A): High quality of teaching, scientific activity, and demand for graduates among employers.

2. Category B (BBB +, BBB, BB +, BB, B +, B): Reliable quality of teaching, research, and demand for graduates among employers.

3. Category C (CCC +, CCC, CC +, CC, C +, C): Adequate quality of teaching, research activities and demand for graduates among employers.

4. Category D (DDD +, DDD, DD +, DD, D +, D): Inadequate quality of education of scientific activity and demand for graduates among employers with significant risk.
