Children will be taught swimming at physical education lessons in Bashkiria

A pilot project to introduce swimming lessons during physical education classes at schools will be implemented in one of the districts of the republic. This idea was suggested by the responsible secretary of the Federation of Swimming of Bashkortostan Rafis Gabdrakhmanov at the Forum of Public Initiatives organized by the United Russia party.

The program is planned to be launched in one of the regions of the republic. If it proves to be successful, the program will be extended to the entire territory of the republic. Physical education teachers will take rescuer courses. Since schools do not have their own swimming pools, classes will be held at the sports complexes.

"This initiative is quite sustainable. It can be included in the project "Children's Sport", said the multiple champion of the Paralympic Games in swimming, the State Assembly deputy Oksana Savchenko.
