More than 900 children remain unvaccinated against measles in Bashkiria

In connection with an outbreak of measles, residents of Bashkiria began more often to address to health care specialists in order to get vaccinated against this infectious disease. According to the Rospotrebnadzor of the republic, as of January 1, 2018, 2,687 children were registered by specialists who were not vaccinated against measles due to medical reasons and parents' refusals. At the moment, more than 900 minors remain unvaccinated.

"Currently 66.4% of children from this number are vaccinated. As for adults, of the 3842 people who were not vaccinated at the beginning of the year, 96.5% got vaccinations", the press service of the department said.

From June 18 to August 6, 22 people were registered who contracted measles in Bashkiria. 13 of them were children, 9 - adults. Cases of the disease were registered in the city of Ufa, Ufa, Iglino, Chishmy and Karmaskaly districts.
